2009 National Conference of The Canadian Society of Criminology. The conference is being held at The University of Ottawa in celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Department of Criminology. The conference dates are Friday, October 2, 2009 to Sunday, October 4, 2009.

Proposals for papers, sessions, and panels can be emailed to canadiansocietyofcriminology@hotmail.com. The CSC welcomes papers and presentations from university and college-based scholars, government researchers and policy makers, judges, lawyers, practitioners, victims' advocates, prisoners' advocates, and other interested parties. The CSC strongly encourages papers from graduate students and provides several awards to recognize excellence. Persons appearing on the final program must pre-register by August 15, 2009 for the conference.

The deadline for submission of proposals for panels is June 16, 2009. The deadline for receipt of proposals for papers is June 15th, 2009. You are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to submit any materials as soon as possible to assist in conference planning.

ALL PERSONS WHETHER PRESENTING OR ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE MUST PRE-REGISTER BY THE GENERAL PRE-REGISTRATION DATE OF AUGUST 15, 2009.
